Chilled

One of my favourite set ups is The Big Chill.

Similar vibe to Lemon Jelly in fact Fred Deakin was a Chill stalwart.

I had a good listen to the Shovels & Rope album last night. It's very good.

I did read one review/article where it was suggested as being fakery trying to promote a gimmick, a sort of Hillbilly Darkness in theory but I don't know - they are just Americans being Americans I reckon in a way that Runrig did with their Scottish identity (although I detest Runrig with every bone in my body).

Which leads me on to Lucero. If Kurt Cobain was a Tennessee swamper then this where he would have ended up.

Shovels & Rope are coming to Glasgow soon but £20 a ticket - at Stereo?! Bit rich.
