Run Garioch

First foray into competitive racing for the boys today, well the junior run isn't really competitive, but it is part of the big Run Garioch event which takes place in our town each March.

Last year the runners competed in temperatures of around 20, this year it was more like just above 2.

My lovely husband had entered the half marathon but owing to the fact that he hadn't run since January, he chose to just watch this year instead. The boys entered their races (600m for under 7's and 1000m for 7-10's) with gusto and enjoyed every minute of them.

I'm sure the fact that half your class is also running, not to mention friends from swimming, church and all sorts of other folks you know from day to day life, makes it even better and more of an occasion.

I do love our town, especially on days like this.
