Age Is But A Number

Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

I bumped into Lina and Christmas today. Lina loves warm weather and doesn’t like the sudden downturn in temperature.

Me: “I’m the opposite. I don’t like being too hot. To be honest, at my age the cold won’t be bothering me soon.”

Lina: “I LOVED the menopause. It was the only time in my life I’ve been warm all the time! Ah, you are still so young. When you hit 80, people treat you differently and just see you as old.”

It really made me think. Lina is infectiously positive and just LOVES life. She is really fit and out on the hill with Christmas twice a day. She loves travelling and goes with her partner to France for 4 months every summer (and comes back with a car loaded with garlic, cheese and wine*).

Most people should aspire to be as youthful as Lina.
