Cyathicula coronata
A dull misty damp day today mostly spent pruning and cutting down the spent perennials. While doing that I discovered a tiny new, to me at least, fungus. This is one of many minute cup fungi growing on the desiccated stem of an old nettle. The largest cap was no more than 2mm across and the height is about the same. It is at the limit of my photographic ability. I believe it to be Cyathicula coronata, unfortunately it lacks a common name. It is described as an 'infrequent' find.
