Things aren't always quite as bad as they appear!

Woke to heavy rain, which stayed all day. Just as it was getting dark, it esaed off; we took a walk down through the town as far as the river Greta. Back in 2015, when we suffered inordinate amounts of rain, flood water came over the glass protection screens and flooded High Hill road badly. Though the water levels in the river were alarmingly high (and tomorrow's forecast is dry) it was still a foot or so below the glass screens. However, trying to shoot the river through the screens - with the reflection of the houses along the road - gave the alarming impression of floods.

Glad to say, Keswick looks to be in the clear this time.
