Sunflowers in the Gloom

This morning it was very gloomy and misty. As I got out of my car in Godshill I saw sunflowers in an adjacent field. I waded across the mud to get my picture. There was also flax growing amongst the sunflowers but I have no idea of the identity of the other lilac/blue flower. There were actually two fields full of these beautiful colours which certainly lifted the spirit and brightened up the day! Well that and lunch with my best friend of over 60years!!!
