Looking through the greenhouse window
This is at Tyntesfield, a National Trust house and garden near Bristol. I went for a walk there this morning with a friend who knows it well, so we explored every corner. When it came to the National Trust both house and garden were a bit of a mess, and they have been improved gradually. There is a brick walled garden where there are vegetables, and espalier fruit trees on the walls. I liked the greenhouses very much - they sell the produce (I bought some leeks) so they’re no longer full. I like the chillies drying - looking like bunting. They are the original Victorian greenhouses - with mechanical window open/closers - and mechanical water supply too.
I thought it might be nice to volunteer in the gardens there, and learn more about organic growing.
