Floating Peach Parfait

These Salvia Peach Parfait flowers form funny little bird faces and they attract the hummingbirds...but they are lower on the desired nectar list behind the Salvia Hot Lips and Black & Blue Sage. I like the soft peach color and the fact that it wintered over last year very nicely in my garden.

I went to the Orthopedic Specialist today about my hip; I had a general appointment late morning and received a referral to a hip surgeon in the same office. When I stopped at the front desk to make an appointment the scheduler told me just had a cancellation for that surgeon for this afternoon. Wow, what luck. I went back after a few close-by errands and received new x-rays; I was told that the hip joint was bone on bone and there was a cyst forming in that area;; that is why it felt like my hip was catching on something when I moved or put pressure on it. I am scheduled for a hip replacement on Nov 22th; I am very excited that I am finally going to do something about this terrible pain!! I know that is Thanksgiving week here in the USA, but the next appointment would be January next year so I am willing to give up the family celebration this year.
