oil drops

played around with some oil in water this evening . Found an easy way of providing a colourful  backdrop and light at the same time - by using an out of focus photo on an iPad. I put a glass container a few inches above it , rather precariously balanced as I like to live dangerously, just added a few drops of oil then photographed handheld from above. Much quicker than fiddling around using flash or lighting on a backdrop as long as you don't spill anything on your iPad!  Luckily I didn't.
