High Tide

We have spring tides at the moment so the water is flooding the marshes and lapping against the promenade.  This morning I stood and watched the tidal surge come in and was once again thrilled and astonished to witness the speed at which the water advances.  It doesn't take much imagination to see just how easily people could get cut off by the advancing water.

The extra is a lonely cormorant that was patrolling up and down.
