Arachnid
My turn for a dewy spider’s web and its owner. One benefit of a dank drizzly day. It has just cleared up, leaving a clear sky as the sun sets.
We took the car for MOT and service this morning planning to go on into town for a breakfast. The garage owner, who I’ve known for 40 years, recommended a cafe that we must have passed hundreds of times.
We called in and it was excellent; slightly embarrassing when we came to pay as they only took cash and we could muster £13 between us. The other two were held hostage while I went to draw some cash from a hole in the wall.
The old car, a 59 Hyundia I3, passed with no advisories. It’s all taxed and MOT’d for another year. Whether we’ll keep it I don’t know as we’re going test a Peugeot e-208 on Tuesday.
This evening I’m collecting Susan from her mum’s then we’re driving down to the Gulbenkian Theatre at the University of Kent to see Eddi Reader (you may know of her from Fairground Attraction ). A very fine singer indeed
