The dropped stitch

Along with the socks

At this time of year my trips to the greenhouse are usually only a couple of times a week, to hang up socks to dry. While there is still warmth in the sun it's a very efficient sock drying place.

So it was a lovely surprise to see this beautiful Morning glory flower today. It was an unexpected seedling when it appeared in the Spring, because I didn't sow any this year. Of course I didn't want to discard it, so I planted it up alongside the Black Eyed Susan. Now I'm very pleased that I did. It's a modest display, but very welcome.
