The Magnificent Lincoln Cathedral
I had a very short time before my meeting today to see some of Lincoln's marvelous buildings. I loved its oldest church, St Mary's Le Wigford. I was equally tempted to blip my first glimpse of its full splendour as one enters through the Gate into the Cathedral Quadrant. I settled on the Cathedral towers rising above the town's cobbled wynds and the surrounding plain.
One can only imagine the awe in which it would have been held when first constructed.
