Brian Stokes Mitchell

We saw and heard Brian Stokes Mitchell tonight at a university spectacular show, which also included the university's performing arts choirs, dance groups, etc. Mr Mitchell is a Broadway star, in case you aren't familiar with him, and he has a gorgeous voice. 

He told the story of his personal experience with Covid in March 2020.  Apparently New York City would make noise every evening at 7::00 in appreciation of essential workers.  When he started to recover, one evening he began clapping out of his window along with other New Yorkers, and then he started to sing The Impossible Dream. He drew a crowd of course.  The next evening he opened the window to clap again, and people were gathered below and yelled for him to sing again.   He went on to sing every night for a couple of months, always singing The Impossible Dream.
