Broken

Unfortunately, I didn’t notice them until it was too late.

This morning as I was having breakfast I heard a loud raucous bird call that I didn’t  recognise. Twice I went out and searched the garden without seeing anything unusual. Then I glance out of a window and was stunned by what I saw. In a shaft of sunlight on the grass was a large male pheasant! I’d never seen a pheasant up close before. The colours were dazzling.
