A change

Very different sort of day…after some last minute deadline beating emails I spoke to our search agent to get an update on current recruitment processes then headed over to the Printmakers new premises to meet JA and get a tour. Lovely restored old brewery and ex rubber factory, and nice to see around it and meet a fabulous children’s illustrator working there. Afterwards, walked to George St to meet someone newly relocated to Edinburgh. Slightly odd chat over lunch….couldn’t quite work her out and it was all a bit frenetic but pleasant enough. From there, across to a Board meeting. Frustrating to have had so much dampness and indeed proper rain all morning ….my hair went wildly out of control and all the walking in shoes I haven’t worn for so long left me uncomfortable and hobbling, but the meeting went well and it was good to meet them all in person for the first time.
As we left the meeting to walk to dinner the sky was looking lovely…and chats over dinner were lively and fun.
Got the bus home and chatted to A&N (who was mortified he’d cracked the corner of my hob, but accidents happen). Paisley settling in, but doesn’t like to snuggle on the sofa like Heston does.
TGIF…..it’s been a very busy week
