Three Fundamental Truths

My Dear Princess and Dear Friends,

Tonight was the third and I think final Hamilton Night.

Loulou and Tiger came over to watch it. Loulou had been due to see it a couple of weeks ago with everyone else, but got very ill on the day and missed out. I was sad - that occasion was for her in the first place and although everyone else enjoyed it, I really wanted for her to see it.

It was, as I had hoped, a huge hit. Loulou actually clapped her hands with delight at the end of many of the songs and uttered a few "wow"s.

But the real test of the evening was Tiger - not a Broadway musical person. He resisted - or tried to - but was won over by the double-whammy that is "Helpless" and "Satisfied". After that, he was helpless himself.

They want to see it live, if it makes it over here.

Thank you, Lin-Manuel. That's at least three memorable evenings we've had in Paraparaumu.
