I thought "My mind is in flames" might have been from a 1967 lyric, but it seems it was 50 years before the phrase made its debut in this song. Formed in 1982, in Münster, Germany, Alphaville was at the forefront of the New Wave/Synthpop movements of the day and still exists as a band to this day, with ever-changing line-ups.
