Done for Now!
Late this afternoon I got to watch the caravan being pulled away by Elf #1's Ram 250. Ho-hum.
Elf#2 spent the day fiddling around while his boss was away getting ready to appear in court to gain custody of C. the six year old daughter of the girlfriend who took his $40,000 and also reported him to social services department for child neglect. But little C. wants to live with Elf #1, the only Daddy she has known, and with 12 year old K.-- the only big sister she has known. A judge will have to sort this one out!
Good news: Elf#2 is not throwing out forcing to move out his girlfriend and mother of two out of his four daughters. He is going to take the master bedroom and divide it in half. One side for the two older girls and the 2 baby girls can sleep in the other side. And meanwhile mum and dad will sleep together in the smaller bedroom currently occupied by the older girls (9 and 6 years). For many months Elf #2 has chosen to sleep on the living room sofa. [Amazing how very intimate the details both elves share with me!] I did remind him that he declared there will be no more children. He seems seriously sincere about this. Somehow I doubt celibacy is what he's got in mind. When I suggested he get a vasectomy, he got quite upset. I suspect he thinks it is akin to neutering/castration or something. He was loudly negative at that idea.
Finally, he explained the heart of his decision to keep this woman who drives him crazy. She's a cheap babysitter... and something else I guess as well...
Well, that's his way of thinking. frankly expressed. how many other men would even admit to it?
I will be seeing them one more time in the next week or so when they come to install the bench or seat in the shower wall across from the shower head. Then it will meet all the standards for disability approval.
Also, I had to report to Elf#1 as he was loading his truck to leave an unpleasant disaster had occurred which I had only just discovered. Elf#2 seems to have damaged a mirror on the tri-paneled mirror wall today when he was installing one of the panels that Elf#1 broke early on in the renovation process. [Previous blip] This bad luck happening at the end of an overly long project that he does not believe he will make any money from just iced his cake for him. I hated to break that news to him, but I felt I needed to tell him before he drove away and so he knew that I did not damage the mirror.
Elf#2 was off getting his car registered so Elf#1 had his babysitter helping him clean up. Nice girl but poor cleaning help.
If there are any further salient details I'll report them. Otherwise, I declare this series: "the Bathroom Renovation" truly & firmly closed. I may still try to blip the bench if it somehow gets into the camera...
