Lightening only strikes once ?

Grey's Monument, Newcastle. It doesn't look straight but whatever I do to straighten it, something looks wonky.   Maybe its not actually straight.  Wikipedia tells me the monument was hit by lightening in 1941 and Lord Grey's head was knocked off,  and subsequently re-built.  A school friend's dad was struck by lightening. Twice. He survived.

Open Day at Newcastle University. Beautiful architecture - I've only ever looked at it from the RVI on the other side of the road.    Fine Art  is a four year course, another 9k to swallow, but the facilities look excellent. Its a great city.  Manchester next week.
