Manzanita

We did a little exploring today up Mingus mountain on a Prescott National Forest road our first outing since my cataract surgery. There were several of these red bark specimens this being one of the largest. My eyes don't see red very well but B says it's there. These appear around 5000 ft and higher in most of the Western US. Not much sun today but pleasantly cool.
