Bobbin Mill Tunnel

Storm Desmond in 2015 devastated the footpath on the track of the old railway from Keswick to Threlkeld. Since then the bridges that were destroyed have been replaced, the surface has been tarmaced and the old tunnel reopened after being buried 40 years ago with the building of the Keswick bypass. It was wonderful to walk this path again. This is the eleventh year we ( 2 brothers, 2 brothers in law, and one friend ) have come to Keswick for a weeks walking.We are getting on a bit now, so this was a gentle beginning to the week.
