Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

Ready, steady....

No pressure to do anything this morning so it was good to relax. I got some of the more mundane tasks done and then enjoyed a lazy cup of coffee.
After lunch we popped down to see Katy and the girls. They'd had to go to Balerno this morning and Eilidh's comment was that it was hardly worth it for a half hour violin lesson as it took so long to get there and back. The trauchles of being 7! The lesson was at her teacher's house due to an unavoidable change of plan!
The girls were as full of fun as usual. Isobel had been given an Amazon voucher for her birthday and had chosen the most amazing medical/doctors kit. It had everything including light up ear thermometer /otoscope, cannulas (only plastic needles thank goodness), stethoscope, heart monitor!!! and so much more, all for, £13, bargain! We were all patients, some more patient than others, lol.
We watched Life of Brian this evening, much more or cup of tea than last night's offering.
My blip is of the dried fruit for my Christmas cake as it soaks overnight in brandy ready for baking tomorrow. The smell is wonderful and I love the sheen of the fruit.
Stay safe everyone.
