Gil

It was a public holiday so I mooched around in the vicinity. This bar is not far from where I stay in Maputo. Gil Vicente is one of Portugal’s best known dramatists and by all accounts this bar was once one of Maputo’s most swinging spots. It was a bit tired when I last went in pre-Covid era and I doubt the shuttering of drinking spots will have helped it much.
