Plumpton Rocks

Orienteering at Plumpton Rocks today. The area is full of intricate rock features and  ideal for short courses with lots of controls which included caves and routes through narrow gorges.

The main is a view down the lake taken just above the two photos on the right of the collage in extras. The scale of the map was 1:3,000 we normally run on either 1:7500 or 1:10,000 so you came across controls very quickly. I’ve posted the map in extras. Club mate Brian was keen to show how tricky the navigation was (bottom right of the collage in extras).

A beautiful day in a wonderful area. Back home by early afternoon - washing on and first load already drying on the line.
