Gerald The Ghostly Guard

Stopped off for lunch in Pickering - on our way to Whitby for a little break. This train had just arrived from Grosmont and was slowly moving away to run around the carriages ready for the return journey…The reflection of the ghostly Gerald seemed to be laughing them off. Went into Whitby town and had a most uncomfortable walk around the harbour….absolutely packed…hey what COVID? What mask? Social distance???? FFS people. So many unruly dogs and children, I was in constant fear of tripping over. Plus people feeding their faces, either walking right at you or blocking what little footpath was available. 

Hotel seems quiet…in Ruswarp! Need to go out soon to find tea, no food or bar available here. Just as well we brought beer, gin and jelly babies with us…
