Porth Dafarch
Today we’re in Anglesey, catching up with a cousin and her husband over Sunday lunch. This is a great excuse to revisit some of the favourite haunts of our home island - Holy Island, off Anglesey itself.
First it’s Porth Dafarch, a gorgeous rocky cove. In the sunshine of late afternoon it’s beautiful - and poignant, overflowing with childhood memories. From here, it’s along the glorious coast to South Stack to watch the sunset. No match for last Tuesday’s West Shore magnificence, this is an altogether gentler affair; few clouds, the pale pastel slipaway predictably disappointing. And so it’s the drive back home to thaw out, download, edit and select - not to mention catching up with Strictly! Not surprisingly, it’s a late blip tonight - my main Porth Dafarch, with South Stack’s disappointing sunset relegated to an extra!
