They were invented by Jacob W. Davis in partnership with Levi Strauss & Co. in 1871 and patented by Jacob W. Davis and Levi Strauss on May 20, 1873.

I’m very grateful for this invention as I’m rarely out of them:)
In fact, I didn’t need to move off the couch for this blip.
It’s cold and the fire’s blazing.
Probably need one tomorrow, too, and that should be it until next autumn.

I should mention that after 107 days of hard lockdown greater Sydney is open, to a certain extent. I enjoyed a coffee and chat with friends. Lovely.
It’ll be an interesting experiment.
