Palm Tuesday

Today we managed to stand inside the Cathedral while one of the processions went past... these are the people in their costumes in between the thrones of Jesus and the Virgin Mary. I still haven't got over how spectacular these things are... the men carrying the Mary in this procession did all however groan as they put it down this time and start rubbing their shoulders, normally they all look so solemn it was quite funny to see them react to it (especially as the throne they were carrying was a lot bigger than most, it only just fitted through the cathedral doors).
The parades are impressive on their own but with the backdrop of the Cathedral it was stunning!!
