Back Blip

A Wednesday evening walk with the Ramblers (which I was leading) and which afforded views of the Kelpies from south, west, north and east in that order, before we finished up at the creatures themselves.

We met at the Falkirk football stadium and walked up through part of the Helix Park the to the Forth and Clyde Canal before following that west towards Bankside. We then crossed over towards Abbotshaugh Community Woodland and joined the path beside the River Carron, by which time it was getting dark.

We crossed the Abbotshaugh Bridge and continued to follow the Carron until the bridge at Skinflats, when we cut back down onto the Canal and back to the Kelpies. Time for photos and hot chocolate - thankfully the wee van selling beverages and snacks was still open - before returning to the car park.

Numerous photos of the Kelpies were taken, but this is about the best of mine from the evening.
