In 1868 Michael Kelly was granted a patent for the invention of the barbed wire fence. Wires were used for fencing farmlands when wooden fences were expensive to afford.


I found this barbed wire on the cliff top when I took little one out for his morning walk…he kindly went to sleep so we bypassed the park quite neatly and had a decent length walk. He’s been a little star so far and Grandma’s getting lots of cuddles and kisses.
