Laon

A shorter day today taking in some birds and ending up in Laon, the old capital of France.
An impressive site perched above the extensive plain of northern France and dominated by the 12th century cathedral that the sun seemed to want to spotlight here. 
A really civilized Chambe d'Hote and a decent restaurant in the shadow of the cathedral made for an excellent final evening in France,
