Matches and paper clips
A mainly sunny day but chilly
Went for a walk with my friends and had coffee in the park, walked back and to another friends to do the housework. Came home, had lunch and went for a walk around the seawall with K. Extra was taken on the walk, I liked the light on it.
The blip is of two things that were invented in the 19th century. Matches were invented by British pharmacist John Walker in 1826 and came about by accident! The first box was sold in 1827 and came with a sandpaper piece. The paper clip was invented first in 1867 and patented as a ticket fastener on April 23rd 1867, 50 designs were copyrighted before 1899 none resembling the current paper clip design. The modern paper clip was designed by William Middlebrook who developed a machine for making them in 1899.
