Old Man

Set off early this morning to walk The Old Man of Coniston, but pretty soon winter conditions got the better of us. The cloud came down and the snow was heavy at times. We took a low level route instead, which actaually felt quite challenging enough! This is my son enjoying the snow, his Dad gave him some lessons with the ice axe which M enjoyed and will come in handy when we do more winter hikes.
Haven't got much else planned for the rest of the day, although we might make it across the road to the pub.
