Meandering Through a Cemetery

We drove through a cemetery in Flint, Michigan today that holds the graves of Flint's history. Many of the names on the headstones are names of the area's streets and roads.

This was not one of them. This was for a little girl named Jessie that lived for 11 years, 4 months, and 16 days. She died on January 9, 1873. 

Can you imagine that? For those of us who can't do math...that's 148 years ago. 

So much change, and sad that the little one didn't get to live her life.
