Wallace Monument

The Wallace Monument is a Victorian celebration of William Wallace, another hero of the Scottish Wars of Independence. Today the rain stopped and the Monument rose proud from the mists.

The extra is a school photo that includes my mother who would have turned 90 today. She's the only one not looking at the camera, in the middle of the back row. Her best friend and my godmother is fourth in from the right in the back row.
