Old Man's Beard

There was an Old Man with a beard,

Who said, "It is just as I feared!—

Two Owls and a Hen, four Larks and a Wren,

Have all built their nests in my beard.
Edward Lear

Well you would wouldn't you! A dead calm day the sea silvery and hazy and the old man's beard looking fluffy and winsome.

Himself has been in the roof applying sheep's wool insulation - the space is minute, hot and dark. I was on occasion required to hand important thing up - tape measure, lamp and said rolls of sheep's wool. He's done an excellent job and is now going to do the same over the bathroom.

M came to inspect our external doors and take measurements.

I booked some flights on Ryanair and nearly had to lie down in a darkened room afterwards - every second you are bombarded with something you do not want to buy. We are coming across the water for a few days in November for the premier of my brother's short film, No Ordinary Joe. It's been a work of blood, sweat and tears, hugely hampered by the pandemic but he's on the home run. More of this later.
