Falls of Bruar

We are heading up north today for a couple of days R&R...... stopped off at Bruar and walked up to the falls, then to the high falls.  It is an easy walk to the first falls, which I have shown in my photo, but it gets more rocky and steep after that, so I was pleased to make the high falls.  It is hard to get a good photo of them, though, so have to make do with the lower falls.

The scenery was amazing and the autumn colours are beautiful now, just in their early stages.  The walk to the falls was quite busy and it is nice to see lots of families out with their wee ones, introducing them to the great outdoors  We also saw climbers heading up to climb at the falls, and the caves, braves lads and lassies.

We had a cuppa the House of Bruar , and were amazed at how much it has grown since the days when it was just one building.  I think you could buy anything and everything there..... but at a price.
