Digging deep

Another warm and sunny day.  An exciting day because of the arrival of our washing machine which duly arrived and was fitted quickly.  I almost forgot about the bookclub meeting in the afternoon.  A pleasant meeting with us all sitting outside in the sunshine.  I hadn't got very far with the book - Any human heart by William Boyd but was interested in what the others had to say.  There were mixed opinions, maybe I will finish it sometime when there aren't more pressing things to do.

A quick trip to the allotment this afternoon to pick some courgettes and chard.  I was happy to see this bee diving in deep to the centre of this Cosmos flower.  I have quite a few on the allotment which have blown over but are still flowering to the delight of the bees.
