Deceiving

It looks lovely out there through the window, but in fact it has been blowing an Antarctic hoolie all day. With the wind chill factor I should think it wasn’t much above 4C.

The window hanging is a stained glass gum tree branch (eucalyptus) from friends in Tasmania. Perfect for this position.

The tree with yellow flowers is a kowhai, usually hosting a bellbird or two. But all was quiet today…presumably it was too cold for them.

It was a winter woollies day and a very brisk, bracing walk! I’m hoping for better tomorrow.
