Derelict
Backblip 2
A sad day, and the main reason for our journey south - MrM Senior's funeral. A short ceremony attended by family members only, followed by a toast at a local pub. Then a sociable meal together, a rare occasion as the family are scattered far and wide.
On the way there, we had time to stop for a shot of this derelict house near Donington-on-Bain - we've passed it several times over the years, and each time there's less of it standing. Then a walk around the churchyard of the Church of St Peter in Asterby, once a beautiful old building. On the wall, another watcher (extra).
Late afternoon MrM and I headed for Bakewell, and an early night at our B&B.
