Mono Monday: Week 403 ....
... 19th century inventions.
Whilst looking up interesting 19th century inventions I came across the "corn planter" that was invented by Henry Blair. Henry Blair was an inventor and farmer best known as the second African American to hold a United States patent. He received his first patent — for a corn planter — on October 14, 1834.
After I read that I knew I would have to get one of the squirrels "planting" the corn in the yard. Not a difficult task ... we have a front yard full of corn stalks shooting up to prove it!
Thanks to Laurie54 for hosting Mono Monday this month with the fun "inventions" themes! My picture didn't come out as I hoped as there just wasn't enough contrast between the squirrel and the green grass.
