Geometric Architecture
I’m not sure who had their geometry set out when Bourne Abbey Church was built, or indeed renovated, but “nothing connects with honours” (aficionados of Ming will appreciate that). When inside you even find that although the east and west windows align with the font, nothing else does. In fact the rest of the church is a bit north, and many walls just don’t match up with anything. Even looking at the front elevation (blip) you can see bodges and botch-ups. Somehow I feel a project coming on - what is the history.
As you may well guess it was organ sitting today. Early dinner (Mrs W made a curry) and now the Photo Group Zoom meeting.
Many thanks to Steveng for hosting WidWed this week.
Taken with the Sigma 12-24 at 12mm (ok 13mm, must have jogged it a bit)
