Laggan Avenue

We've had a lovely day today.

We had a slow start at Fort Augustus as so many people were coming down the locks that we were late getting up.  All went smoothly however (with 5 chambers this is the longest set of locks we go through) and we were soon on our way.

We stopped at Loch Oich for some lunch and a cycle, then cruised through the loch which we thought was beautiful.  The next section of canal (pictured) is called Laggan Avenue due to the trees lining both banks and with the autumn colours it was spectacular.  We loved it.

We got through Laggan locks and moored for the night at the end of Loch Lochy (see extra) with a fabulous view.  We all had showers at the facilities here, then MrsCyclops made us curry (butter chicken) for dinner.  A delicious end to the day.
