I’ve been out of practice in asking people if I can take their photograph. I had spent the afternoon in the good company of friends from Glasgow who are down for the Film Festival. After leaving them, I spotted this group of women and their picnic. I screwed up the courage to ask them and one jokingly replied ‘we’ve been hoping someone would take our photo!’

These fabulous women made my day.
