August’s fields of yellow grain have disappeared and been replaced by brown and green as tractors have been busy ploughing and planting and new crops emerge.  We passed two fields still with remains of flowers like flax, clover and sunflowers on the verges. Several fields had sheep and a few had cattle enjoying the fresh green grass before being confined to their winter sheds.
