Wishes on Faerie Hill

Legend has it that in 1692, the local Minister, Robert Kirk (aptly named) was spirited away to the world of the Faeries from here - Doon Hill near Aberfoyle. We walked through the woods and climbed the hill to see this magical place, with many trees decorated with ribbons and offerings in prayer to the Faeries.

It's been a beautiful day, with blue skies and snow blizzards, and we've spent most of it exploring a couple of the forest walks around here. I had many photos to choose from, but love the story behind this blip.
