Judy Baca

Is the muralist and activist who narrates the story of Los Angeles in a half a mile long mural along the river wall. She oversees the design and studies for the work but reaches out to her community of academics, artists, and students to help her in this enterprise of great magnitude. An artist with a true and potent voice who speaks for those who can't. This is a wonderful exhibition at the Museum of Latin American Art in Long Beach, CA. It filled my heart.
