Virginia creeper
After our morning walk to Starbank Park (Virginia creeper blipped en route), I settled down to a full-day online research assessment meeting with colleagues from across the UK. Before and afterwards I squeezed in some 'day job' tasks.
This evening we put on our glad rags and headed down the road to Borough in Leith for Mr hazelh's birthday dinner. The set menu comprised a succession of small courses, all of which were delicious: raw venison; smoked mackerel; squash; coley; duck; pear and ice cream; and cheese (full descriptions in the extra). We also indulged in matched wine with four of the courses. Here's hoping that we don't pay a price for this in the morning!
Exercise today: walking (16,048 steps).
