Exploring Lisboa

Today we decided to have a good walk around and tick off some of the sights.

First we started with the Elevador de Santa Justa which is an lift that take you up to a viewing point but also to the streets higher up without having to climb the steep hills.

We then went a walk along Avienda da Liberada which is Lisbon’s version of the Champs Elysees with tree lined street and lots of designer shops. Stopped at the Hard Rock Cafe for a cocktail or two before carrying on.

From here we walked around all the cobbled winding streets and made our way to St George’s Castle which had amazing views over Lisbon. On route we did stop for some lunch and a few drinks.

The castle is just ruins which you can walk around but the main reason most people visit it is for the views of Lisbon it was amazing and a lovely sun trap.

Tonight we have visited time out Lisbon which is a food and drink market and a top attraction in Lisbon, it had everything you could want it was difficult to make a decision with all the lovely food but we went for noodles and they didn’t disappoint, I have a feeling we will be back there before we go home. After food we went out for a few more drinks.
